The overall design follows the principle of “one axis & two wings and one corridor & one belt”. Led by TOD（transit-oriented development）model, and three-dimensional complex concept of building urban areas in clusters while keeping the ecological green space in large area, the design will increase the overall development projects, consolidate the coastal business development along the central axis and contribute to the urban vitality.

The new convention and exhibition center will be well-equipped with transportation facilities. Xiamen’s role as the International Aviation Hub of the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road will help the new convention and exhibition center be accessible to the rest of the world. In addition, it is 15 minutes’ drive from the newly-built Xiangan International Airport (to be open in 2025).

The full-fledged high-speed rail network and expressway network will link the new convention and exhibition center to the first-tier cities of Shanghai and Shenzhen, and reach to the vast areas in China. The well-established local metro network, especially Metro Line 3 will link the new international convention and exhibition center directly to the downtown.

A multiple of transportation choices, such as cross-sea bridge, submarine tunnel and the shuttle buses, will make you access the metro stations, bus stations, commercial centers, and hotels in an easy way.
